How it works
Age is computed by calendar arithmetic between two dates: it first aligns days, then months, then years. The total-days figure uses UTC day boundaries to avoid timezone drift. The next-birthday countdown finds the next occurrence of the birth month/day and reports the difference in days.

Frequently asked questions
How is the age in years, months and days calculated?
The tool compares the birth date with the target date, borrowing days from the previous month and months from the previous year when needed — the same method used by calendars and official forms.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. February 29 is recognised correctly in leap years, and day counts across leap years include the extra day.
What counts as total days lived?
The number of full 24-hour days between the two dates. A newborn just after midnight on their first day counts as 0 full days until that first day completes.
