Privacy Policy

The short version: ToolCraft is private by design. We do not have accounts, do not process your data server-side, and use no tracking cookies.

This Privacy Policy explains what data ToolCraft ("we", "our") handles, and how little that is. Our design principle is privacy by default: the tools you use here process your inputs locally in your browser.

The short version

  • Tools run in your browser. Text, images and calculations are not uploaded to our servers.
  • We do not require accounts and do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use tracking cookies by default.
  • Your device stores only your own preferences (theme, favorites) via localStorage.
  • If advertising or analytics are ever added, this policy will be updated to describe them.

What we handle

  • Local storage: theme preference, favorited tools, recently used tools and recent searches are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared any time by clearing site data.
  • Contact form: if you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send, used only to respond to you.
  • Server logs: like any web server, our hosting provider may keep basic, short-lived logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and availability. These are not used to identify or profile you.

Advertising and analytics

The site currently uses no advertising networks and no third-party analytics. We reserve the right to add advertising or privacy-respecting analytics in the future; if we do, this policy will be updated to explain what each vendor collects and how you can opt out.

Some pages may contain affiliate links. Clicking these links may cause the third-party merchant to record that you arrived from ToolCraft. We receive a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, exercising data rights is usually a matter of clearing your browser data. If you have questions, contact us and we will answer honestly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the update date at the top of this page will change and significant changes will be called out.
